Just finished my handmade piggy ornament for my mom-in-law. She loves pigs and the girls wanted to get her an ornament that had a pig with wings and something about when pigs fly.
I have borrowed a book from the library called "Christmas Handcrafts: Book Five" which had directions for "Barnyard Angels". There is a lamb, cow, and pig; all with halos and wings.
So perfect! So I made one. The pig is suppose to be a soft pink, but I mixed my own paints and got a sunburned pig instead, lol.
Anyway, I hope she likes it. I might make some more for next Christmas as it was really fun to make.
Well I had better be off. So much to do so little time!

Actually, I posted this on my other blog, Another Day On The Plains, and then I remembered that I was posting all my Christmas stuff on this one so sorry for the double post! I finally finished them today after how long?! I know. Actually they would have been done on Monday had I not gotten deathly sick. A bladder and 2 kidney infections with a fever that topped out at 105.4F and hovered around 103-104F for two days will do that to you though. Now I have to scramble faster than eggs to get everything done in time. To tell the truth it would have been weird to be on time or early though. I'm such a procrastinator (er?) most of the time! Well I better get to work. I am suppose to have Christmas dresses cut out by now...I can hear the Hubby already...
